Estepona is a lively place with a rapidly improving infrastructure. Over the last five years the town has changed to accept a lot more traffic, including a number of new sumptuous roundabouts decorated with central sculptures, gardens, or fountains as well as a large underground parking garage under the Paseo Maritimo (seaside walk). These facilities have definitely eased traffic!

Estepona is divided into two main areas: the historical quarter and the pleasure port. For jaunts outside the town you can take a quick drive (30 mns) up the Sierra Bermeja (1,450 meters).
