After becoming a pro in 1982, Miguel Ángel Jiménez (born in 1964) began to establish himself as Spain’s best player. One of his early victories was the Open de Lyon in 1988, which was followed by many other wins, including the Piaget Open in 1992, the Heineken Dutch open in 1994, the Volvo Masters in 1999, and the Alfred Dunhill cup in both 1999 and 2000. In 2004, he won the Johnny Walker classic in Thailand, the BMW Asian Open in China, and the Portugal Open. Michel Ángel Jiménez has a passion for cars which has earned him the nickname ‘The Mechanic’.
