Estepona is the municipality which faces the sea and its coastal stripe is more than 20 km of beaches of different types and with different facilities and services. There are various beaches in Estepona we would like to point out here below:
Fist of all, the most visited and known of the municipe is the beach de La Rada, a beach situated in the centre of Estepona. It has a nice sea prommenade with plants and palm trees. It has a very easy access. During the summer, you can count on all infrastructure, services and surveillance.
Another beach to be pointed out in Estepona is the Playa de El Cristo, this is a relative small and quiet beach, considering that it is a semi-urban beach. It possesses all types of infrastructure, from a red cross installation, to the rental of hydropedales and two beach bars where to eat.
Stepping out of the old town, we reach the Playa de Punta de la Plata, very close to Estepona. This is a beach of gray sand and stones. There are two access, however this beach does not feature all the services menioned before.
We would also like to point out that in Estepona direction Manilva Costa Natura, the only nudist beach in Estepona can be found. It is also, the second of three practically alike beaches. It is located in between the beaches of playa de Guadalobón y Arroyo Vaquero. The houses reach down to the beach. This beach is a mix of grey sand and stones. As they are very large and connected between each other they are ideal for walks, runs, or to practive sports.
Generally speaking, if you are looking for sandy beaches we advise you the ones on the west of the municipe in more wild areas, even though, they are less serviced. If you are looking for more services, more beach bars and more people, the eastern side of the municipality is more frequented. |
