From Guadalmina to the Chapas are more than 30km of beaches, some better, other not very good, some more frequented and others more intimate, quiet, deserted. Here bellow from east to west of the municipality follow the beaches along the coastline of Marbella which is the jewel of the Costa del Sol.

The municipality of Marbella, starts at the east side of the coast with Guadalmina. The beach of this urbanisation is of stones and dark sands and is rather quiet even though it disposes of a great number of services.

In San Pedro de Alcántara we encounter foremost the Playa de Linda Vista also a rock beach, with some dark sand and very quiet.

The first more busy beach we encounter is the one in San Pedro de Alcántara. This is a urban beach with a good beach bar service and showers as well as parking. It is of dark sands with some rocks.

The Playa del Cortijo Blanco is the least recommended by us. Stony and no beach to sunbath or swimm. It is very nice for walks.

Continuing in direction of Marbella, we reach Puerto Banús, a very busy beach with beach bars, showers, rental of aquatic motorcycles, kayak, hydropedals and other attractions according to what is in fashion during the season.

The Puerto Banús beach is a beach of dark sand, and stones.

Following the way futher on we reach Puente romano, where we encounter a similar beach to Puerto Banus, but which is much less frequented, however having all services like beach bars, retaurants, showers, aquatic sports..

For the urban beaches of Mabella, all have practically the same characteristicas, well frequented, beach bars, hamacas and recreative activities. Of dark sands. Here we advise the beaches La Fontanilla; Playa Faro, Venus and El Pinillo,these last ones are already in the semi-urban area and with less visitors, here we exit the urban centre of Marbella.

The beach Playa de Los Monteros of lighter sands disposes of showers and public services, garbage bins, hamacs and sun loungers to rent. Here you can practice nautic sports like windsurf, hydropedales etc. Within its installations a beach bar is located, also beach bars are in beach Playa del Alicate and La Vivora, the two beaches following Los Monteros. Near this beach is Los Monteros, with a hotel and a residential centre.

Of fine golden sand, some with stones, and of good gastronomical services and sports activities are the beaches Las Chapas; Artola, Cabopino and Calahonda. The best beaches are without doubt in the municipality of Marbella. Special interest may attract Cabopino, the only beach of the municipaliy which is nudist.

Generally speaking, the beaches of the Marbella municipality possess all types of services, and they are well visited during the summer period, when beach life is having its high time.
