Mijas is a municipality which has a special particularity, the village is divided in two parts, the interior and the coastal part. For that, it is great for holidays in the mountains or on the coast.

Mijas counts on approx. 12km of coastline where we can encounter attractive and well looked after beaches like the Faro, the Charcón, the Butiplaya, Calahonda...

The beaches of La Cala (Las Doradas) and the Butibamba have the blue ribbon of the European Community and they offer all kind of services and activities.

During the summer, the coastline disposes of a life guard service and surveillance.

One can enjoy little bays or great stripes of sands. It is on you to decide!

El Bombo Beach is semi-urban, more than 1km long and 25 metres wide. Dark sands. Surveilled and offers some services.[See more]

More than 4km of beach 30 metres wide. Semi-urban beach, very busy and with basic services.[See more]

Beach El Chaparra (Costa del Sol)
This is one of the largest beaches of the municipality. With 4,5 km of semi-urban beach, good visited, calm waters and of dark stones. Well serviced.[See more]
