Puerto banus is the jewel of Marbella. Its yachts, its cars, its luxury.. has lifted the Marina above all levels of other places in the Costa del Sol.

The Marina José Banús is still very young. It was inaugurated in May 1970 and since then, it underwent an incredible growth. As from the very beginning, it received the Golden Medal of Touristic Merits and the "Gold Mercury International" for its action in favour of the development of the economic cooperation, cultural and social. Its installations followed the "Marinas" modell. Amongst its technical characteristicas may be pointed out that it has 915 moles for embarcations up to 50 metres with a draught of six metres. This distinguised location features luxury regarding its yachts as well as the type of cars driving along its streets like Ferrari, Porsche, Masserati etc.

The town hall of Marbella, Puerta Banus estimates an annual number of 5 millions visitors to the area.
